ATA - Prototype by jollyjack ATA - Prototype by jollyjack
The prototype for my (title yet to be disclosed) post-apocalyptic board game.

There's little point in trying to make something like this pretty until you have the game mechanics nailed.
Despite the simple text-on-white-card, though; what you see here became, to the people playing, a detailed and hostile atomic wasteland.
(let's hear it for good, old fashioned imagination!)

Imagine what it'll look like when I get the illustrations finished!
:D

The randomized card layout is one of those brilliant ideas that just works everywhere at all times with everything
I might even use that idea because now i can't even think of a better alternative to this.

o.o Laaaaaarrrrge Post apoc goodness!

will there be 'named' areas for the segments that you've made like specific Art Museum that people have based themselves out of as a city or something? old landmarks/ or new landmarks that people use?

So, if I'm seeing this right, it'll be like Twilight Creations' Zombies in that the "board" is a series of tiles you lay out randomly as play the game? Neat, and I do like the idea. Hope it all comes out okay![link]

These are the best kinda games! (except with killer art added to make it look as kickass as it is to play!) Are those business cards chopped in two for the tiles?

From my observation, there are way too many loose cards that would be a pain to move around on; they would always be accidentally moved by someone reaching over to the pieces. Plus it will be rather complicated it seems to keep this set up in a particular order with just cards.

If I could make a suggestion: Try having it done on a special board that will hold the cards in place, or make it so that the cards themselves can be "stuck" together like puzzle pieces.
