Alaska's Wheels

Alaska's main mode of transport across the desert terrain of the alien world in which her stories are set is a rough looking hovercraft-thing.
I was going to put a smaller, single-seated hovercraft on board as a more nimble vehicle, but Ms Rhodes isn't really about function/practicality. She exists simply to blow things up with big guns while wearing very little. She wouldn’t have a crappy, futuristic fork-lift in her cargo bay, she’d have a futuristic bike.

This is a sort of step-by-step of the design process for this vehicle: The Sakura Mag-Tred Skimmer.

"Sakura" is a company within the comic that produces luxury goods, specifically expensive toys (like bikes) for the wealthy consumer.

EDIT: Yes, Akira WAS in my mind while drawing this, but only so far as it being a design I wanted to AVOID.
