Just stumbled upon G.I.Joe: Resolute. Which was AWESOME. Very slick and an ace plot that utterly trounces that of the recent film (Thanks to Mr Ellis).
It was a bit of a surprise to see that Dial-Tone now wears a skirt :D

lol, the story is the Resolute director noticed that there was a lot of scenes with unnamed-female-comtech, so he went "she needs a name" and the comic company gave him a list of names he could use.
The one he liked? Dialtone.
he'd never even heard of the character, just liked the name.

As an act of defiance, the day GI Joe:Rise of Cobra debuted on DVD, i bought GI Joe:Resolute. Snails as Ripcord? Really? REALLY?? FIRE THE GUY WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA. OUT OF A CANNON. INTO THE OCEAN. Also good and far better than that hack job of a movie, any of the current comics (check your local funny book retailer) and GI Joe:Renagades. And for his stunning ability to tell TOTAL HORSECRAP from HIGH QUALITY GOODS, I hereby declare JollyJack a REAL AMERICAN HERO, even though he's from the UK.

Nothing can redeem Rise of Cobra save for the ninja fights. The ninja fights were the only good parts of the movie.

After watching Resolute I got the feeling it should be titeled "Snake Eyes and his friendly Joes" - it would be more accurate. Not that I mind that, but he indeed stole the spotlight.
