If you're wondering why this is funny to other people, this is why: It's a bird. Putting it's wings over it's head for apparently no reason than to have fun. it's acting ridiculous. Maybe it's funny because of the expression of the other bird, who is a little confused, then shocked by this other bird who is doing this crazy crap. Maybe it's funny because we're all (apparently) 13 year olds, and the one additional year to put us at 14 year olds make us so immature. Because a single year makes that large of a difference. Or, maybe it's funny for other reasons
I'm a big fan of the BBC documentaries and I have the Life of Birds and I know this scene very well. It's fascinating how the bird will shade it's eyes from the sun to hunt for fish (and to give a shaded area for unwitting fish to hide from other birds)... but seeing this in a comical way just makes it all the better. Thanks for sharing the video clips, but your cartoon of it is even more priceless Bravo!!
I think it's funny that birds' brains work like that. And as often as not, so do ours. We think something big has happened when certain things change and act accordingly, when in reality nothing has actually occurred and we look like total morons.
13 year old's and younger won't be the only ones giggling about this; Parents will laugh, cause maybe some of them used to do this to entertain their children Adults who don't have children will laugh because maybe their parents did this. Adults who don't have children who didn't have parents that did this may laugh because it's just funny. People who don't laugh at this... I..... I dunno why. All i know is to feel pity for their poor souls.
