Not particularly keen on Shirow's over-use of CGI these days, but his old stuff continues to inspire :)
Mechs are fun to draw.....as are the pilots.

ah chief, shirow's cgi blending is cooooool. tho perhaps blending is a less than accurate word in some cases! Find it hard to draw complex mecs without resorting to filler lines...nice job.

My pervy mind is doing some interesting things with how the recoil from those guns on rapid fire shakes the whole mech... especially that seat she's on. :devilish:

Hahaha you can really blame Shirow's sensei for the cgi usage. Just the company he works with probably makes the decision for him.

I'm in the same boat as you, a greater love for his older works too. ;)

It must be an unwritten law of Anime : To pilot massive, powerful mecha, all pilots must be female, curvy and sexy to be able to sit in the cockpit. :D
