Heard it on Fox. by jollyjack Heard it on Fox. by jollyjack
Has access to the most well-funded intelligence organisations on the planet..... determines policy based on what a joke news outlet is saying.

FFS. There are 320 million of you.

Stop. Him.

Is easy to see the bad in him. I find it incredibly interesting it took a non-politician to become president and actually do what he said he was gonna do in his campaign, even if a lot of people don't agree with him...

I, for one, welcome this madness. I like this guy.

At least he didn't say he doesn't like broccoli or make pizza a vegetable.

Then again, he hasn't said 'I am the State(s)' either...yet...

Ironic  though your new joke. from my opinion fox has the same lean as trump its not unbiased in politics. i havent seen them say anything remotly accurate on some subjects till this year [in the past it just made me want to flip the channel with how wrong their info was]

Actually, I think it's safe to say that Fox leans towards Republican more than Trump. The man's a moderate.

um that is what i just said but was trying to not say the word republican. isn't news channels meant to be independent [aka favor both sides equally]?

While they're meant to be independent, what they're supposed to do is hold every politician's feet to the fire when what they say or do is at odds with demonstrable facts and reality.  The more dishonest and misleading the authority figure, the harder the news should be on them.  They should favor neither side at all, as long as that side is in conflict with the truth.

The news is supposed to be honest and probing, not sycophantic and obfuscating.

That's because journalism doesn't create the same level of revenue from big-business advertisers that a cohesive, profit-driven narrative does.

However, when the lies and contradictions become too egregious, some of the pretenders in the media discover that journalistic integrity can have its own rewards.

Not exactly. A lot of news stations are owned by another company. For example, ABC News is owned by Disney.

You mean the reports or what's in Trump's skull? Because clearly he's using that empty space to store wadded up gum wrappers or something.

Between Fox News, his space for rent and the tiny fingers on his iPhone, there really can't be much intelligence at all.

And it's really tiring to hear to his trumped-up lies drowning out real news and issues.

What, hired John Olivier? I don't know what goes on in American media outlets, since it's all news-like entertainment just with either a left- or a right-wing lean. The end of it is that Trump is right in calling it all "fake news". Hell, they started doing it themselves, Trump merely adopted their language!
He's much smarter than he lets on, but I am not sure what kind of insane plan he has hatched in his mind. Up until the Executive Orders I was sure he was simply a crook that was going to just sit there in the White House and make some empty gestures to remain popular, but it looks like he's actually doing the shit he said he'd do during the campaign. For a politician that is unheard of.

Oh, they hadn't hired Oliver, no. I was referring to Fox News kinda just going along for Trump's ride without complaint. If that's where he gets his facts from, he's completely delusional.

Also I do agree that he HAS kept his campaign promises. But that's the issue, isn't it? He's made up crises and solutions to these crises. He's the snake oil salesman trying to offer you tiger repellant in New York.

John Oliver created some informational ads to run during Trump's favorite programs, so maybe he'll learn something.

In the meantime, Empire Carpet got some free PR as its jingle was blaring in the background during a recent interview thing on Air Force One.

I think some of the reactions from everyone is because no-one was expecting him to ACTUALLY fulfill promises! Politicians don't DO that! They make grandiose plans then when they get elected they fall in line with the party and let the PR department gloss it over. So when he says "I'm gonna... gonna STOP these darn feriggner's from coming to MY America!" They thought: Oh he's going to tighten up regulations, increase security... And then he DOES it...

Unconstitutional, but not the least bit unprecedented. What's different is that lawyers were waiting for him to do it, prepared to get a court injunction. Trump has inadvertently accomplished positive change - he's got people fighting against what they ignored just a few years ago when it was done to Cuban immigrants. Maybe he can say something about drones next and get people with the right legal expertise to finally act on that in a meaningful way.
