I measure the quality of a game by how much fun I have and my reluctance to turn off the console at the end of each gaming session. GTA4 currently has me swearing a lot, wringing the controller in frustration and kicking said console until the power cuts out. I cant even abandon the main missions to explore the (inarguably pretty) game-world in peace, which would have been its saving grace; I keep getting phone-calls asking why Ive not taken a particular character out to play a dull and repetitive mini-game!! I know I dont have to, but I also know that if I dont its going to take me longer to access hidden missions. In effect, Im being punished for wanting to do what a sandbox game is meant to let you do: What you want, when you want, how you want. Ive had the game for 2 weeks. The first few days were great, but now the only reason I go back to it is to justify the stupid amount of money I spent on it.

Really though well done. I am always skeptical when a game comes out and gets nothing but 10's. And I love it when someone comes out and says "It's not really that good"
