The Gallant Knight by jollyjack The Gallant Knight by jollyjack
Preliminary design for a character from my super-hero comic "Little Victory".

For those that follow the series:
Knight is Vicky's predecessor's predecessor. Born in 1947, he was one of the earliest kids to be deployed after the 1955 Pantheon Treaty was signed.
Killed in action in 1996.

I should have commented sooner.
I'm surprised how bright and shiny this guy's armor is! I love the colors used, but I think they might almost be too flashy. Maybe that's why he was killed. Who knows.

The massive arm-brace things are terrific.

Why do i get the feeling that he didn't actually die? Just faked his death, or someone faked it to capture him? O.o he would make one hell of a scary bad guy....

What? No fuzzy boobs? It's still a good picture. I like Knights, when they're done right.

"Gaily bedight, a gallant knight, in sun shine and shadow.
Had journeyed long, singing a song, in search of El Dorado."

Eh... sorry, couldn't help it!

So judging by the color scheme, and your map. He is an American? Let me guess, he wants to be a gallant French knight. Good luck with that. [link]

Knights are cool.but I prefer Paladins. Where do they fit in the Midevil Era? I have yet to here anything of them on the History Channel. Tmplar Knights is as close as I gonna get.

Having bought all the issues so far, I liked the lulu books better. I'm sure there's reasons for switching to indy planet (most likely costs or whatever) but the lulu printings jsut feel like a better quality? In any event, looking forward to the next issue.

I think the idea is sutble. A notion that they're purpose guided & sometimes that purpose might seem to others unnoticable.

I know this question may sound stupid, but I'll ask it anyways. Is there a regional color code for uniforms, maybe a psuedo-tradition of homaging the regions original protector via costume color, or is the white and yellow just happenstance?

The world is divided into sectors. It's a system that was established by the UN during the cold war.
Back then, GSIs (super heroes) had to remain within their designated sector.
Sector divisions remain to this day, but after '89; a "soft border" approach was gradually adopted, with GSIs moving between sectors where needed, though their "home base" is always a set post.
Vicky (and previously, The Gallant Knight) is posted in Gold Sector (The USA).

The only regions of the world not covered by a GSI sector are nations that declined to sign the '55 Pantheon Treaty; primarily British commonwealth nations - Canada, Australia, India and the UK itself.

At risk of sounding 400% more camp than I am, I love that coat! Specifically the way it's cut to points, and the way the sleeves are open at the front from the elbow-down is really striking and dramatic!

I'd take a coat like that over a cape any day.
