After reading a recent article in the Fortean Times about Vampire Hunting Kits, I thought I'd take a stab (heh heh) at making my own.
We have all the essentials here: A crucifix, a bible, vials for salt/garlic/consecrated earth (or what I dig up from the garden), a few photos of "known" vampires (something I think I'm the first to add to such a kit) and a sweet little box in which to put everything.
I may eventually peddle these on ebay.
Edit: "Vampires can't be seen in photographs" - depends on the mythology you're using: [link] Obviously, the person putting this kit together HAS been able to acquire photos of vampires.....so shut your yap.
Edit Edit: Oh, dear god, people. Yes. I am well aware that there is no stake or mallet. Why? Because it's a 4 x 6 inch box, not a f**king Tardis. The only sharp bit of wood I can put in there is a toothpick, which would be of more use to the vampires than the hunter.
Oh dear, I see by your edits people are picking your lore apart. OH PEOPLE. I guess you could get away with sharpening the end of the crucifix into a spike. It would be like a spork --two uses from one tool, conveniently taking up less space. Forget the mallet. Real mean pound it in with their forehead.
You know this does bring up a good question to mention: Would a crucifix with a figure or carving of Jesus on it be more affective than one without? I mean the whole idea of a cross harming a vampire is that it's a holly symbol. So going on that idea, wouldn't having the son of God(Or the supposed son of God, depending on your belief) on it, be better.
...
Oh wait.
