A character from the very first series of the X-Files (waaaay back in '94), which I've been rewatching for the first time in years.
Roland, from an episode of the same name, is a mentally challenged chap that finds himself a puppet to a malevolent force. Over a mere 45 minutes, you're really made to feel sorry for the guy (brilliantly acted by Željko Ivanek, who crops up quite a bit across a number of TV series).
There are 18 year olds who were babies when that series aired... now I know what it was like when I asked my folks about Dallas like it was something akin to the battle of Hastings WAAAAY back in the past
Blimey, that's a blast from the past! Well done! I'd have to say my favorite episode was the one with the guy who had the ability to manipulate women (also he had a tail if memory serves me correctly) He ends up in a prison where he's given a "Superstar" baseball hat, that always gets stolen. Ah memories
