It's....it's like they WANT it to fail....

www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainme…

They're going in the right direction, by making Batman an older, more experienced hero (told you it was a good idea!), but they've cast the wrong guy.
Now there's nothing wrong with Ben Affleck. People badmouth his acting, but I've never had a problem with it. He can also do the super-hero thing. The problem with Daredevil was the script, not the casting. Affleck did a fine job as Matt Murdock, given the tripe he had to work with. He just isn't Batman/Bruce Wayne, though.

On the Keaton-Clooney Scale, he's a full-on George.

He'd make a much better Superman than he would a Batman. He's even played Superman before.....well, he played a guy that played Superman (Hollywoodland, 2006).

The actor I'd have loved to see take the role of the Bat is Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He plays a relentless, grizzled bad-ass PERFECTLY.

At this point, I don't see a JLA film posing much of a threat to future Avengers outings.

the sad part is, no matter how bad it does, theyll never blame it on the right reasons.

Well.. man of steel was awful, so not really that surprised.  Anyone blinded by the big explosions enough to think it was great will have the blindfold drop off when they see Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill inexplicably topless and walking away from some large burning CGI effect, probably in slow motion to a bass sound track.

For those worried about his Acting ability- don't worry, Zack Snyder likely won't give him enough screen time or script for it to matter.

I have a hard time with Ben Affleck playing anything else than the character in Clerks 2, Mall Rats, and to some extent Good Will Hunting. He plays a person who thinks he's the coolest guy he knows, and the rest of the world just thinks he's a bit of a douche. Bruce Wayne is a man so caught up in his parents' deaths and quest for vengeance on everything crime-related that he has ceased to be anything but the Batman. When he's Bruce Wayne, he's Batman, pretending to be a playboy billionaire, and when he's Batman, he's the hand of justice itself; hellbent on punishing evil. Christian Bale did a great job of being incredibly true to that. The scenes where Alfred desperately tried talking sense into "master Wayne" shows that there's no more Bruce Wayne left. Only the manipulative and calculating Batman who positions people around him so they help his cause, and don't get hurt.
Basically, I don't believe Ben Affleck can produce this kind of depth of character, and especially not within the time it takes for a movie to establish a character before the plot starts. I wish they could have kept Bale as Batman because we already know him, and therefore don't need to start the movie with a bunch of exposition, and because the Batman that Bale captured was the closest to a "true" Batman I think we'll ever have.

I realize that Bruce Wayne found love/distraction at the end of DKR, but a lot of time could have passed between the two movies. Time in which Bruce's demons could have resurfaced and forced him to go back to Gotham to find his protegé hard at work filling the gap he left behind. Team-up time and so on!

I'd watch that movie. Not sure about one with a new Batman, played by picklefucker (Clerks 2 ref).
