I enjoyed the Nolanverse Batman films a lot, but I've just run the numbers:
Bruce trained for 7 years (Alfred mentions his absence in Batman Begins) and he sulked for 8 years between Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises. Between that, and including the short time in Dark Knight Rises in which he wore the cowl, Nolanverse Bruce was only Batman for about a year, tops (Joker's line "Let's rewind a year" tells us this).

One. F**king. Year.

"Caped Crusader" the Nolanverse Batman is not.

He is "Bat Temp".

This is why I say now and always -- the Adam West Batman is the MOST accurate and faithful live-action adaptation of the character.

Good.  I never liked Bale-man anyway.

Nolanverse Batman is just a poor attempt at imitating Clint Eastwood from Heartbreak Ridge.

I will give credit to Heath Ledger (RIP) as I thought his performance as "Joker" was actually rather good. I do not like the ridiculous remake version of Joker. I thought the whole story was lacking, completely limp and left nothing explained about Joker. All the while they're building up Harvey Dent/"Two Face" in which he's getting full character development in about ten minute's time Nolan style.

I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to things like this. Who didn't like Jack Nicholson as The Joker? He nailed a classic character pretty well. Hell, even Mark Hamill's Joker voice is pretty damn good. Heath Ledger unfortunately, was not "The Joker" in my opinion.

Tom Hardy wasn't Bane, nor was Jeep Swensen in the George Clooney catastrophe that was a Batman movie.

There was no reason to screw with what's already known of the classic Batman characters and their history. The formula is already there, all you have to do is make a few tweaks here and there, do some modern special effects and voila.

To be honest....I think that DC should just make big budget animated Superhero movies. Batman the Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Batman Beyond, Superman The Animated Series and the DC Video games are all wildly popular. I think that is because they have the perfect voice talent. Kevin Conroy as Batman, Tim Daly as Superman, Mark Hamill as Joker and a few other key voice actors really made those shows. Now combine the voice talent with more money tossed at CGI characters than say Arkham Asylum....imagine what a kick ass movie they'd have? Marvel wouldn't be spanking DC at the box office for long.

Yeah I never saw that Batman as "BatMan"  The Batman from the Animated series THAT was Batman.  Justice League Unlimited, THAT was Batman.  Arkham Asylum and City, THAT is Batman!

At least the Joker from those films was The Joker.

Don't even get me started on the Batmobile in that movie >A<

"Bat Hummer" has a definite ring to it.  Although, most people might think that was a booty call to Selina.

Which only confirms what I believe of Nolan, in that he doesn't even like Batman or comics and only did the trilogy for the money and experience.

That'll be my New Year's resolution for 2014.

I'm gonna be Batman for that year, and that year only.
