My mate :iconmightymoose: is looking for a hand with one of his comics.

If you're a colourist looking for a project to work on, head here for details: [link]

Loathe as I am to belittle anyone's skills; a person with actual understanding of the job is what's required.
If your artistic expertise begins and ends with MS Paint; thanks, but....uh.....thanks.

I am not a colourist, nor am I looking to work on your friends project. I would, however, like to point out that the difference between an amateur using MS Paint and an expert is,....the same as any other program. Saying that using MS Paint makes a person amateurish is a bit like saying that once you have used oil paints you may never touch a pencil again. Not really bitching, and I hope your friend finds the help he seeks.

I don't think he was saying that using MS Paint makes you an amateur. He simply said that if MS Paint is the only program you know then you're not what they're looking for as they require someone that knows Photoshop or Gimp or something of that nature.

I probably did overreact, I get touchy about my work.

At least you did it politely. That's rare on the internet. :D

Pssst,...don't tell anyone, but I remember when there was NO internet. You actually had to be civil to people.....

Heh. I remember those dark times as well, my friend...

And for the record, my first webcomic and a good portion of my second one, were done with MS Paint. :D

Yeah, paint has a sort of affinity for webcomics, makes me wonder about Cyanide and Happiness, or Cat and Girl, even the early Dr. McNinjas.

When I started in 2003 it's all I had. I'm glad I started with it and learned what I could from it. For what it is, it's a pretty good program.

I'd be interested. My gallery has tons of work I've colored for other people.
