Don't drive in Norway

Wildlife straying onto the roads isn't such a big problem here on fair Albion. We've killed most of it.
In other parts of the world, however, it's a continuing threat. Such as in Norway, where a man recently swerved to avoid a moose.....and hit a bear.

A little chickenwire over the windows wouldn't hurt, either.....

That's absolutely hilarious, if a bit scary and unfortunate for the man... And the bear..

Here in MN, we have an issue with literally RUNNING into deer when we go for a bike ride... True story..

I live in South Louisiana, 2 buddies of mine have totaled compact cars hitting deer. On both occasions the 2nd question i asked them, after "are you all right?" was "where's the deer?", visions of deer roast dancing in my head. First buddy answers, "in a ditch on the side of the road!", second one answers, "I know what you are thinking. i tried to leave with it, but i needed a ride back to my house more than i needed the deer. i traded it to the highway patrolmen that worked the accident for a lift!"

Honestly, City folk. We may not have elk or bears wild in the UK, but it only took a muntjac (The UK's smallest dear) to total my van's radiator and push it back in to several other breakable important bits. to cap it all ten minuets later the damn thing had the cheek to get up from the side of the road where I had moved it and stager out in to the middle of the road again for another try. I picked it up and moved it back to saftey where within half an hour of head butting my van to death it got up and ran off at full tilt as if nothing had happened. Some animals have no respect.

I live in South-western Norway, and I can't say I've had problems like this in the past. Most likely this happened further towards the mid-country where there's mostly forest and mountains.
